Let’s Twitter, Y’all

Just a quick update to let everybody know that I’m doin’ the Twitter thang. I know it took me a while, but I finally decide to do it and now that I’m there, I love it! I’ve actually been on Twitter for a minute now, but just realised that I hadn’t told you guys about it. For those who are not familiar, using Twitter (called Tweeting) is a form of micro-blogging in 140 characters or less. Basically, in their own words, “Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?“

I like it because it allows me to just spit what’s on my mind or what I’m doing at any given moment without having to write/develop and entire article or blog post. I also like the flexibility of being able to log in and update from home or any other computer and if one is not available, I can even send Tweets from my mobile phone, via text messaging or mobile web. So, if I see something interesting, wild, crazy or whatever, I can Twit about it on the fly from wherever I happen to be. This, I am really diggin’. Mos def!

For those who wish to roll with me on the regular, you can now follow me on Twitter and know what’s going on everyday outside of the blog. This is a good thing because I’ve noticed that my Twit-to-Blog ratio is already quite high (read: I Twit way more often than I blog). And as soon as I finish transferring files to my new computer, I will include a mini Twitter window on my sidebar so that all visitors can read my latest Tweets. And who knows, you may even want to start the Twitter thang yourself — if you haven’t already. It’s all about social networking; a fun way to learn new and interesting things, meet new people from around the world or simply stay in touch with whomever you choose. Anybody can Twit and you don’t need a website to do it. Hey, even the President is doin’ it. I’m definitely having a ball.

Also, once I’ve worked out the details of splitting and redesigning this site, I’ll be adding an option for email notification (strictly confidential) of when I post new entries. That way, you’ll have two ways to be all up in my business keep up with me. Both options are quick and easy to do, as well as convenient ways to know what I’m up to and when to visit for new posts, so please check out my Twitter page now and the email notification once it’s up.

Oh, and last, but certainly not least, I received my new HV30 gear this week (*squealing with excitement*), but haven’t had a chance to test it yet. Yes, I finally have the MUCH needed fluid-head tripod, as well as a wide angle lens, lens cover and a manual focus ring designed specifically for the HV30.
