Weigh-In: Week 1

Today is the first of my weekly weigh-ins and I’m happy to report that I lost 9.5 pounds, which brings my weight to 252.5. Now, I do realise that this is mostly water weight, but that’s always how it begins; excess fluid comes off first. But hey, it’s all good with me. The swelling in my ankles is gone and my clothes are fitting more comfortably. I expected a nice-sized drop this week, but I had only projected a 5 or 6 pound loss, so I’m ahead of the game at this point. My weight-loss goal for the last three weeks of June was 12 pounds, so it appears that I will exceed that goal, possibly even by 50 percent (18 pounds) if things continue to go this well.
I’m doing so-so with my other goals so far. I haven’t started exercising yet and I haven’t logged all of my meal on FitDay. But I still managed to say within my calorie budget and have not eaten out at all. So, eating went very well, though I’m still making adjustments towards eating several times a day. I’ll get there. I’m making progress towards drinking 64 oz. of water each day. I find that Crystal Light helps tremendously. Exercise is definitely in the plans for this week. I just have to find my groove. Overall, I am quite pleased with my progress so far. I give myself a B for this week.
