Weigh-In: Week 3
urban masala on 06 28, 2008
Three more bite the dust! Yep! Yep! This week’s loss brings my total to 15.5 pounds. I am beyond pleased to see that my weight is continuing to move in the right direction, despite the fact that I haven’t been exactly been meeting all of my other goals for this month. Still no exercise. Still not logging my food. No yoga or meditation. Not taking vitamins consistently. Not quite preparing all of my lunches at home, which lead to a couple of lunches out this week. But my water intake has been very good and I have been cutting back on my portions. Failing to meet my individual goals notwithstanding, I have managed to exceed my June weight-loss goals of 12 pounds, so I’m thinking I should start grading my weight loss separately from my goal achievement.
I will need to be extra vigilant next week, as I am making an unexpected trip home to St. Louis sometime next week to attend my precious and beloved Grandmother’s funeral. She passed away yesterday at the age of 93. I am very sad about it at the moment, but I am making a conscious to not start eating for comfort. I’m a bit concerned that once I get home with all of my family, friends, favourite restaurants, and the tons of food that usually accompany our traditional after-funeral gatherings I might overindulge. Hopefully, that will not be the case. We’ll see once I get back.
In the meantime, here are my grades for this week: Weight loss: A; Goal Achievement: D.
