WW Weigh-In: Week 2
urban masala on 12 21, 2008
Well, it’s official. I completed my second week on WW yesterday, earning my third 5-pound star, as well has hitting the 5% (14 lbs.) mark (reduction of total body weight). This is nothing short of amazing. I say amazing because, not only did I manage to lose again this week (in the midst of this food-laden holiday season), but I dropped 6.2 pounds, bringing my two-week total to 16.4. That means $60 more added to the rewards fund. My goal was to lose between 3 and 5 pounds, so as you can imagine, I am dancing and singing in the streets right about now.
This is particularly great news in light of the fact that I decided to reward myself with wine and cheese last Saturday (Dec 6) in celebration of the 10.2 loss. Problem is, I was only supposed to have a couple of glasses of Merlot (8 oz. each), but they somehow multiplied into 4 glasses. I also had an 11 oz. (cooked weight, without the bone) T-bone for dinner on Wednesday evening. And that’s not all — on Friday, I had a generous piece of carrot cake at my office Christmas dinner (that’s in addition to my plate of salad, croutons and rotisserie chicken breast).
Needless to say, I finished the week with a Points deficit; to the tune of -39.5 Weekly Allowance Points (WAPs). And that includes using the 6 Activity Points (APs) that I had earned through the week. The only thing I can think is that the Points surplus from last week (7.5 WAPs and 8 APs) must have balanced everything out. Now that I’ve gotten past shedding excess fluid and poo, I’m really anxious to see what the scales will bring in future weeks, particularly after I’ve started my exercise regimen.
Here are my points stats for last week (from WW eTools):

That’s about it at the moment. After yesterday’s meeting I did all of my grocery shopping for the week (I see a pattern emerging), so I’m off to start cooking next week’s meals. My goal for next weigh-in is

Rewards Account Current Balance: $160.00
(I think I’ll add a running balance to the sidebar soon.)
